COVID-19 INFORMATION HOTEL DE TUILERIEEN
The health, safety and security of our guests and team members are of utmost importance for Hotel De Tuilerieën. We follow all rules and regulations issued by global and local government closely and abide by the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations and health guidelines in order to deliver and maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members alike.
A Health and Safety protocol, including in-depth cleaning and disinfection procedures throughout the property, has been put in place. Guidelines to our guests and team members have been formulated which include the installation of sanitation stations at all entrances and throughout the property, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and protective screens, enhanced and recorded cleaning and disinfection frequency, social distancing in all areas, and more.
Below you will find the Health and Safety Protocols we have put in place at our hotel as well as the impact on our services & facilities that you can expect during your upcoming stay as some of our services and facilities are disrupted by the current situation. HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOL
After thorough review of all existing health and safety processes, we have developed and put in place a health and safety protocol that must be respected by all guests and team members. All steps of this protocol are important to reduce the spread of infection of COVID-19. We have done our utmost to reduce the number of touchpoints throughout your stay.
Our Team members have been educated about our new standard operating procedures through extensive training. They are aware of new risk analyses for their job and work environment, and we have set up continuous follow-up trainings for them with increased focus on the importance of good hygiene. Our in-house prevention officer has been fully trained as hygiene & safety specialist.
If a guest or staff develops symptoms indicative of COVID-19, a detailed plan is put in place to handle this situation and to minimize contact of the ill person with all guests and staff of the hotel.
Guests with symptoms such as fever and cough are denied access to the hotel.
Guests who had contact with an infected person 14 days prior to arrival are not allowed to enter the hotel.
We have reinforced our cleaning procedures of rooms with a special attention to any surfaces frequently touched by guests and team members, including regular disinfection of door handles and all other steel/metal and plastic items and surfaces.
Rooms are allocated as much as possible so to leave a room unoccupied for a minimum of 48h. We try to spread guests among the different floors to avoid contacts in the corridors.
All linen used in our rooms is treated by an external company and washed properly, as always, in hot cycles (70°C or more) in order to disinfect them completely.
All unnecessary in-room accessories and amenities (Decorative pillows, bed runner, books, magazines, leaflets, etc.) have been removed. While coffee making facilities remain available in every room, the minibar is empty.
The TV remotes control, made out of plastic and rubber on which the virus could potentially survive for a longer period of time, have been taken away from your room and you can use the tablet to control your television.
The phones in the rooms are still available for guest to use and are disinfected regularly.
There is a tablet available in your room with hotel information and city information. You also can order drinks and food via this tablet during your stay.
Guests are asked not to hold (private) meetings in their rooms, with other guests or with people not residing in the hotel.
B. Public Areas
Special attention is being given to the cleaning of common areas (halls, corridors, lifts, , etc.) and to objects that are frequently touched (handles, elevator buttons, handrails, switches, door knobs, etc.). High touch surfaces at the reception area such as the payment terminal and desks are disinfected between guests.
Disinfection gel distributors have been put in place at all building entrances and in strategic places throughout the hotel.
Protective shields made out of plexiglass have been installed on the desk to protect both staff and guest from infection.
We highly discourage meetings in our public areas. Although lobby furniture will be cleaned more thoroughly and more frequently, we request guest to limit their presence in our lobby to the strict minimum.
The elevators should be used in a responsible matter by our guests and staff. Only two persons at a time should use the elevators. People living under the same roof are allowed to use the elevators together. However we do not recommend to use.
Please wear masks in the hotel, except while seated at a table, in your room or in our wellness area!
Before arrival we email you all information to check in online. Please complete your details before arrival.
According to ministry decree it is mandatory to leave your phone number or email address.
During check in, full payment of all services is requested.
During check out. We do not print your bill, but email this to you.
Only electronic payments are allowed, cash is not accepted. If you are unable to pay contactless, the terminal will be decontaminated every time after every single use.
IMPACT ON THE OPERATIONS OF OUR SERVICES AND FACILITIES
In compliance with the federal measures and in an effort to reduce the risk of contamination for our guests and team members, operations of some of our services and facilities might be affected during your stay at Hotel De Tuilerieën.
A. F&B services
Our bar is open from 14h till 23h. Social Distance rules (1,5 m) apply. Everything must be consumed ‘sitting down’.
Orders can be done via our tablet. A bar menu is also available via QR code.
Breakfast is available in our breakfast room from 8h till 10h30.
Breakfast must be reserved! Places are limited because we apply the 'social distance' rule
We don’t offer a breakfast buffet however a continental breakfast.
Social Distance rules apply. Everything must be consumed ‘sitting down’. ‘
It’s not allowed to leave the breakfast room to smoke or call.
It is possible to order breakfast as well as a snack through our room service.
Room service will be placed at the door, please place this tray outside again after use and contact the reception. 111
Guests are not allowed to order from delivery services, such as Deliveroo, Pizza Hut, ... Access will be denied by our hotel staff to avoid contamination.
B. Wellness Area
Till 30/06/2020 forbidden by the government. We re-open this area from 01/07/2020. Access will be available after reservation. Places are limited ! Please contact our front desk. firstname.lastname@example.org or via phone +32(0)50343691.
In order to avoid possible contamination,guests have the option to cancel any cleaning services for their accommodation during their stay. For the safety of you and our staff, we don't enter your room while you are in the room . If you decide to cancel any cleaning services, extra housekeeping amenities ( towels, bath products, ... ) will be available at reception.
D. Porterage Service
Luggage porterage service is still available at Hotel De Tuilerieën.
E. Hotel Access
For security reasons and to limit possible spread of the virus, the access to Hotel De Tuilerieën is limited to guests having a reservation with us and left their contact details until further notice. Contactdetails are kept by us for 14 days and are only used to combat the Covid-19 virus.
Disinfection of your hands at one of the disinfection stations upon entrance of the premises is mandatory for guests and staff.
Room keys may not leave the hotel during your stay! All room keys must be handed in at reception. Our reception team will sanitize your room key.
Wearing a mask is mandatory in our hotel, unless you are sitting in our bar or breakfast room, in your room or using our wellness facilities.
F. Lost & Found
We have changed our lost & found policy. All items found in rooms or public areas are disposed of with the exception of jewellery, wallets, money, electronic devices and watches. For any information please contact email@example.com
Our hotel staff may only enter your room if you are not present in the hotel room.
All our staff have been educated all safety and hygiene protocols.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
- Wash your hands frequently with hand sanitizer
- Maintain social distancing ( 1,5m )
- Avoid handshakes and hugs at any time
- Please wear a mask in our hotel, unless you are sitting in our bar or breakfast room, in your room or using our wellness facilities.
- Cough into a paper towel that you throw away. Then wash your hands.
- If you do not have a paper towel, cough in your elbow to prevent air droplets from spreading.
- Avoid touching your face: eyes, nose and mouth.
- Stay at home if you are sick and if you have been or may have been in contact with the virus, contact your doctor. Avoid going to a waiting room to avoid infecting other people.
- Leave your hotel key always at reception before you leave the hotel !
- Show understanding for the measures taken, but above all enjoy your stay!
